Flat Cut Letters are exactly how they sound. They are letters of various thicknesses which are cut from flat sheets of material such as metal, wood, or plastic. For instance, a letter cut out of a sheet of 1/4” thick aluminum would produce a 1/4” thick flat cut aluminum letter. These letters can be given a variety of finishes such as polished, brushed, or painted. Plastic, wood, or foam letters can even have a polished or brushed metal laminate applied to their faces in order to create the depth and look of a metal letter at a fraction of the cost. They are used in a variety of settings such as interior logos, wall signs, address numbers, and building signs. They can also be used to accent and add dimension to other signs such as monuments, pan channels, and reverse pan channels.
